Apparently, the program update-initramfs does not look at the exact name of the file but reads whatever is in that folder or to any file that starts with the characters " resume initramfs resume, so it kept reading the old file even though it wasn't called " resume ".

THen run update-initramfs -u -k all and if it doesn't complain, you win. Interesting, but there is no UUID at all in my fstab. I changed the swap entry in my fstab from /dev/mapper/kubuntu--vg-swap_1 to UUID="5a69d76abeffab10b4c" but I still get the same message
